Evaluation 2 - How effective is the combination of your main products and ancillary texts?
Within this evaluation I have looked at the way in which my media products (magazine and ancillary tasks) work together to provide a single brand. I have identified conventions used and how my products interlink with each other. Overall, post evaluation 2, I feel I have successfully created a series of products which are to a professional standard and work together as a single unit of work but also as individual pieces. I am confident that my products support each other.
Evaluation 1 - In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Here I have evaluated the conventions I have used and subverted throughout each of my individual products, looking at what and why I used or subverted each convention. The conventions of my magazine mixed between common and uncommon although I think, as identified, I managed to successfully create a professional and marketable media product with ancillary tasks to accompany it.
Throughout the video I have put text and images which look at pre-existing products comparison to my own.
Reader Profile
Here I have identified some potential readers of my product. I have looked at what they find interesting and their age groups, allowing me to learn the interests of a similar age group in order to refine my ideas. I have learned that the age group generally like creative and free/cheap things such as Arts, Music, Film and Fashion.
